What is Super Flows

Super Flows automates the work between your team’s apps: triage, routing, summaries, briefings and record keeping. An admin connects your apps once. You lay out a workflow as a graph of steps, test it in the builder, publish a version, and let it run on a schedule, when something happens in an app, or through the API. Every run keeps each step’s input and output, so anyone on the team can open it afterwards and see what happened.

Everything belongs to an organization, not to one person’s account. An organization holds projects, and each project holds related workflows.

Term What it is
Organization Your team’s account. It owns the connections, agents, skills, databases and the plan.
Project A group of related workflows, by team, process or app. Every workflow belongs to one.
Workflow A diagram of nodes joined by edges. Its triggers start it and the other nodes do the work.
Version A frozen copy of the workflow’s draft, numbered v1, v2 and on. The newest version is the live one.
Run One execution of a workflow, started from one trigger. Each node it reaches is a step.
Connection One account of one app, connected once for the whole organization.
Agent A named AI assistant with instructions, a model, and the apps, skills and databases it is granted.
Skill Markdown instructions that several agents share.
Database An organization’s own SQL database that agents, workflow steps and members read and write.

A workflow starts from a Trigger. The other nodes do the work:

  • Action runs one action in a connected app, such as posting a Slack message.
  • Agent hands a task to one of your organization’s agents.
  • Conditional continues only if its conditions hold.
  • Decision takes the first branch that matches.
  • Delay waits before the next step.
  • Notification sends an email or calls a webhook.
  • Database runs SQL against one of your databases.

Every field on a node is a template. A step can read the trigger’s payload and the output of any earlier step, as described in Templates and variables.

You edit a draft in the builder and run it there to test it. When it does the job, you publish it. Publishing freezes the draft as the next version, and that version is the one that runs from now on. Editing the draft afterwards changes nothing until you publish again.

A published workflow starts in one of these ways:

  • Schedule: once, or repeating, at the times you set.
  • App event: when something happens in a connected app, such as a new Slack message.
  • API: from your own code, with an organization API key.

A run is durable. Each step is checkpointed with its input and output, independent branches run in parallel, and a delay waits without keeping anything running. If the platform restarts during a run, the run continues from its last finished step. When a step fails, the run stops there and shows you the step’s input and the error. See Runs and approvals.

An agent is an organization record that you chat with on its page and run from a workflow step. It is the same agent with the same permissions either way.

  • An agent acts only through the connections and actions it was granted.
  • A grant can mark an action to ask first, and a destructive action always asks first. That call waits until a member approves or denies it, on the run page or in the agent’s chat. Admins are emailed when one is waiting.
  • An Action step never offers an action that the app marks as destructive.

See Grants and approvals.

Apps are connected through Super Connect. Today you can connect GitHub, Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Search Console, Notion, Jira and HubSpot. Every workflow and agent in the organization uses the same connections, whoever started the run. See Connecting apps.

There are two plans, Free and Pro. Each is one flat price for the whole organization with a monthly allowance of runs, emails and AI. Members are unlimited on both, and nothing is billed per task or per seat. See Plans.
