Google Calendar

Connect Google Calendar when a workflow or an agent should work with your calendars: write a briefing of the week ahead, find free time, book a meeting, or start a run when an event changes.

An owner or admin connects Google Calendar once for the whole organization. A member asks one of them. Every workflow and agent then acts as that one Google account and sees the calendars it can see. See Connecting apps.

  1. Open the Apps page.
  2. Press Connect an app.
  3. Choose Google Calendar in the Super Connect window.
  4. Sign in with the Google account whose calendars you want to use, and approve the access it asks for.
  5. Finish when the window reaches Done.

Google Calendar is its own connection. Connecting it does not connect Gmail, Sheets or Drive. For a Google Workspace account, the Workspace column shows the account’s domain.

A Google Calendar connection brings actions and events. Actions search calendars and events, find free time, and create, update and respond to events. Events start a run when an event is added to a calendar, changed, or cancelled. The live list of both is in the builder: the Action node’s picker for actions, and the Event list of an App event trigger for events. An agent uses only the actions you grant it. Action steps never offer a destructive action; an agent can be granted one, and it always waits for a member’s approval.

  • An event trigger watches the account’s primary calendar unless its calendar filter names another one.
  • A briefing is a common use: a Schedule trigger, an Action step that reads the coming events, and an Agent step that writes the summary. See Triggers.
  • Each live event trigger counts as an active app subscription. Triggers with the same connection, event and filter share one. See Allowances.

When the connection’s health reads failing or needs reauthorization, an owner or admin opens the Apps page, presses … on its row, then Reauthorize, and signs in again with the same Google account. The connection stays the same, so workflows, triggers and agent grants need no change. See Reauthorize a connection.
