The assistant

The assistant is Super Flows’ own helper. It sits beside every page of your organization in the app. It answers questions about Super Flows, builds workflows and agents with you, and works on the page you have open. It is on the Pro plan.

The assistant is not one of your organization’s agents. It doesn’t appear on the Agents page, it has no grants, and it can’t run in a workflow. To automate work, build an agent instead. See Creating an agent.

Press Assistant in the bottom-right corner of any page of your organization. The panel opens over the page. Its header shows which page it is working with, such as “On Members”.

  • Drag the header to move the panel, and drag its edges to resize it.
  • Minimize, Maximize and Restore change its size. Close or the Escape key closes it.
  • The panel stays open as you move between pages. It always works with the page you are on now.

Each conversation is a thread. Your threads belong to you: other members of the organization don’t see them, and you don’t see theirs.

  • Your first message in a new conversation starts a thread, titled by that message’s first line.
  • The Thread menu switches between your threads. The panel opens on the most recent one.
  • New thread starts a fresh conversation.
  • Delete thread asks first, then removes the thread. Its messages are gone for good.
  • The page you’re on. Each page tells the assistant its name, how to work there and what it shows. Each message you send also says where you are, such as the node selected in the builder.
  • Your organization. It can list your agents, skills, databases and connections with their health, and search the actions your apps offer. These are reads only. Its own tools change nothing in your organization.
  • Super Flows itself. Built-in skills cover the app’s pages and terms, writing agent instructions, and Liquid templates. They are separate from the skills on your Skills page.

It can also take you to another page, or answer with links to the pages you need.

The assistant works through what the page lends it: its buttons, its fields and, on some pages, tools of its own.

  • It presses ordinary buttons, such as New project or the builder’s save button.
  • It fills text fields the way you would type. A filled field is a draft until you save the form.
  • It doesn’t press a button whose effect you should own. It rings the button and brings it into view, and you decide whether to press it. These include Publish, Pause and Resume, Send invitation, Remove, Delete project, Delete skill, Connect an app, Revoke and Manage subscription.
  • It never fills a password or an AI key. It points at the field instead.

It sees the page as you do. If you are a member, the admin-only buttons aren’t on your page, so the assistant can’t press them either.

On a workflow’s builder, the assistant can:

  • read the workflow’s nodes, connections and the problems their badges show
  • add a node with its settings filled in, change a node’s settings, and connect or disconnect nodes
  • look up an app action’s fields
  • read the run open on the Runs tab, explain a failure and point at the failed step
  • save the draft

Removing a node asks you first: a card in the panel shows Approve and Deny. The assistant checks every Liquid template it writes before putting it in a field. It never publishes. You press Publish when the draft is ready.

Improve with AI, beside an agent’s Instructions, opens the assistant to improve them, or to draft them when the field is empty. The assistant can set the instructions, the description, the apps the agent is granted, its skills and its databases, and point at any of those fields. Its changes land in the editor’s draft. You press Save changes, or Create agent for a new one.

When an agent needs an app nobody has connected, the assistant offers a card that connects it. Only an owner or admin can complete it. See Connecting apps.

The assistant is on the Pro plan. On the Free plan, the panel shows “The assistant is on the Pro plan.” with a link to upgrade, and Improve with AI is turned off.

It always runs on the platform’s AI key, even when your organization has added its own key in Settings. The estimated cost of each turn counts toward the organization’s monthly AI allowance, the same one that agent steps and chats on the platform key draw from. When the allowance and any credit are spent, the assistant stops answering until the next calendar month, in UTC. See Allowances.

Only members use the assistant. An API key can’t reach it.
